The programmes includes Irish news, local events and activities with an Irish flavour, as well as interviews and live music from visiting Irish musicians. It also includes book and movie reviews and on occasion some political views/reviews. Capital Irish has interviewed many Irish celebrities over the years the most prestigious being the former Irish President Mary McAleese. Our presenters come from all walks of life and each generation is represented! Capital Irish has been making programs for the Irish Community in Wellington, New Zealand since 2003. These programmes are also broadcast on Wellington Access Radio.

Jim is back in the studio this week, where he shares some wonderful stories from across the globe all with a distinctly Irish connection, along with some lovely music.
Jim even recites a few lines from an old Irish poem The Faeries, written by William Allingham, which you may have heard of.
This program was also broadcast on Wellington Access Radio with the support of New Zealand on Air.
Capital Irish has been making programs for the Irish Community in Wellington, New Zealand since 2003.
