It also includes book and movie reviews and on occasion some political views/reviews. Capital Irish has interviewed many Irish celebrities over the years the most prestigious being the former Irish President Mary McAleese. Our presenters come from all walks of life and each generation is represented! Capital Irish has been making programs for the Irish Community in Wellington, New Zealand since 2003. These programmes are also broadcast on Wellington Access Radio.

This week on Capital Irish, Andy Linton pays tribute to Charlie Lennon a highly accomplished traditional Irish musician and composer, who passed away recently at the age of 85. We also hear some musings about elections, both north and south of the border in Ireland along with other topics, and of course, plenty of tunes. Links below for further reading and listening.
