It also includes book and movie reviews and on occasion some political views/reviews. Capital Irish has interviewed many Irish celebrities over the years the most prestigious being the former Irish President Mary McAleese. Our presenters come from all walks of life and each generation is represented! Capital Irish has been making programs for the Irish Community in Wellington, New Zealand since 2003. These programmes are also broadcast on Wellington Access Radio.

This week, Alice is joined by guest Trevor Mallard, who has been appointed as New Zealand’s new Ambassador to Ireland starting in January 2023.
Stuff- In August Mallard resigned as Parliament’s Speaker, ending a near four decades long parliamentary career. Mr Mallard came into Capital Irish for a chat with Alice Paul about his new appointment and his obvious grá for Ireland came through loud and clear.
